The old secondary school was damaged and in frail condition. The students were especially in  danger when the winds picked up.

?It seems like the old broken wall will collapse when it is raining or windy,? said 13 year old, Nouhug who is in grade 8.

Nouhug shared that his father was one of the many Naxay people who wanted to make change for children.

?My father knows that I really love coming to school and really love studying? said Nouhug.

?I came to help with the school construction since the beginning and I am so happy that it is now almost finish,? said Mr. Kuang.

?The roof of old school was leaking. The students had to sit on one side of the classroom where the roof less damaged,? said Nouhug.

?Sometime we have to stop the class when it was raining and the students were disappointed that the class could not continue until the end of the day,? said Dee, 12 year old in grade 7.

The students are so excited to come to study in new school. They would drop by at the construction site and spend a few minutes wandering around.

?The new school is very different from old one we are studying in right now. My friends and I like to see new school. It is very cool inside the classroom,? said Nouhug.

?I never thought that we would have this new school in our community,? said Dee.

?When the teacher first told us that we will move to study in the new school very soon, my friends and I were so thrilled,? said Nouhug.

?Thanks to the donors and World Vision for giving us education,?
Nouhug added.

The new secondary school in Naxay will be opened at the end of October 2008 and it will make the studying environment more productive.
